Superior! Beautiful community & surroundings. The room was delightfully furnished with rustic mountain decor. But I’m burying the lede. The staff was friendly and informative. The room was comfortable, blessedly quiet, and immaculately clean. I’ve stayed at hotels at twice the price with fewer amenities and not nearly so spotlessly clean. And the staff recommendation for breakfast across the street was the cherry on top. Delicious! I’d stay at the Sequoia Lodge again in a heartbeat.

little old but still nice ,good outside sitting area, clean rooms, friendly staff close to a deli store with decent breakfast (right cross street) definitely will stay there again

Customer friendly management ofbthe property, clean , quite , mountains and river around. Limited dining , however good brealfasts opposite the lodge

The property was located in a quiet neighborhood and property was right on at the river's edge. Staff was friendly and helpful, room was comfy and cozy - will definitely come back!

Love the location. The motel was quite dated and worn. Couldnt even sit straight on the toilet as the shower door was so close. Shower head shot needles into my body! I mean, come on! How much does a decent, modern shower head cost? Very comfy bed! Door knob to the entrance of our room fell off at one point after entering. I am a retired handyman and noticed tons of little things that could be improved on for not much money. Not sure if the owners are hands on or not, but the place has been neglected for far too long!

Hi Ted,So sorry that all of your concerns were not brought to the attention of the manager. Can't help if I don't know... A doorknob falling off would be the type of thing you would report immediately. You chose instead to make a public review, so as to maintain your victim status and allow you to continue suffering. The water pressure of your shower is adjustable, simply push the handle in a little. Maybe all of your handyman experience lacked shower handle operation.Rather than approach the manager, you just save it for the review. Guess it wasn't bad enough to speak up in person.Our historic motel is over 50 years old. We do all we can to keep up with the small issues.Thank you for all of your extremely valuable insight. It is priceless.

You have done a good job preserving this property. I am an ex owner of a very old resort and as such i must comment on the cheapest towels and linens you supply. Why not offer the customer a choice. Pay for usable or go for cheapest. You will be suprisedat what they will choose.

Thank you for recognizing the work involved in maintaining a historic property.The towels used are the ones used due to the cost.When we provided thicker towels, they were abused, stolen and ruined by people taking them to the river, replacing them was at great cost.Our towels are more than adequate. Cost is the number one consideration. Passing that cost on to guests isn't always in the company's best interest as it makes us less competitive in pricing.I'm sure back in the day stuff was cheaper, but it's today and everything has increased in price accordingly.

The hangout areas outside the rooms are a nice peaceful way to relax after a long hike. The pathway to the river was also very nice

2nd time staying here and i love the location with the private beach. The rooms are clean too which is very important to me being comfortable
