First B&B experience
Posted 2 Oct 2016 on HotelsIt's our first bed and breakfast experience. Overall it was not bad for a first time. The room is very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was delicious, not a typical breakfast served in a hotel. It was freshly made/cooked by Leslie. The location of the hotel is perfect! Most of the well-known wineries are nearby, even the Cafe Citti (best Italian restaurant in town) is only a walking distance.
The only con is the garden area stinks because of the dog poo everywhere.
We also had a little issue with our check in. We didn't arrive between 3 & 6 pm as recommended. We waited and couldn't get a hold of the person that will check us in. Almost looked for another hotel...
Also, it's not a B&B for family. When we booked thru Hotels.com we put that we have kids, but when we arrived the lady was surprised to see the kids. We they had to ask the other guests if it's okay for us to join them for breakfast since we have kids. Good thing our kids are well behaved.
--- Not a family B&B ---
--- Clean room ---
--- Good breakfast ---
--- Free Wine Passport ---

The Lovely Casa Bella
Posted 2 Aug 2016 on Travelocity
Pros: Clean, great location, nice staff, excellent breakfasts, comfortable, service-dog friendly, quiet, safe.
Cons: Leave it as a B&B!!
Location: Wineries: Recommend Kunde, Chateau St. Jean, Ferrari Carrano, Dry Creek.
Towns of Glen Ellen and Sonoma. Schultz museum. Sonoma Distillery (whisky!)
Our room was small but clean and comfortable (thanks, Maria!) We had opportunity to poke our head into two of the larger rooms before guests checked in, and they were very spacious and beautiful. Marga, our host, is a very kind and interesting lady. Breakfasts were great (Leslie, the cook, makes world-class scones) and the coffee was tasty, hot and plentiful.
The hot-tub area is really nice -- and a great place to chill out with a good book and a good bottle of wine. Also our room was quiet - we couldn't hear other guests much at all. We could only hear the local rooster when our windows were open.! The air conditioning and ceiling fan kept everything nice and cool.
The location of Casa Bella couldn't be better for visiting all of the great wineries in Sonoma. We never drove more than 45 minutes away from it -- and most days we only went 20 minutes away. There is good food within walking distance at Palooza, and some great tasting-rooms just steps away.
There is sad news, though... In November 2016, the Casa Bella will no longer be a B&B. The owners are changing it to a whole-house rental. BUMMER.

Great B & B in Kenwood
Posted 21 Jul 2016Had a wonderful stay at Casa Bella. It's a beautiful property and a great location. Close to many interesting, small and midsize Sonoma Vineyards. Great personal service and a truly delicious breakfast served every morning.

Kenwood's Dreamy Bed and Breakfast!!! WOW!!!
Posted 10 Jul 2016 on HotelsWOW!!! We stayed here last year for a nearby winery event and everything was perfect!! We thought we'd stick with this gem. It was even better this time!! Marga, the innkeeper and part owner, offered us a WOW upgrade just because we came back! Instead of a queen room, we were offered a suite! The separate living room was beautifully appointed with a Monet theme, comfortable classy furniture, refrigerator, and TV! We enjoyed sitting on the wicker front porch furniture and watched guests play bocci ball. The grounds were lovely and filled with flowering plants and mature trees. The hot tub was perfect and the surrounding cabanas gave a Miami feel to our Sonoma stay. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!!! Oh, and the breakfast!! Wow deliciousness again!!!
