"This was a pleasant surprise.. a hidden gem that felt like I should look out the window and see a lake. Staff were friendly and wonderful, room was clean quiet, beds comfy including soft sheets ample pillows and nice furnishings. We had a boat attached and the parking options were perfect. The free breakfast was excellent as was the delicious local coffee. Their walls are adorned with excellent local art too which is available for purchase. We used it as a hub to go boating on belgrades lakes so location perfect as the little town of Hallowell was just up the street with a fantastic food and bar scene. Really a wonderful place! Ps I never give reviews but this hotel deserves it! "

"The staff at this hotel are genuine and welcoming. The room was comfortable and just what I needed to relax after a few stressful days. I enjoyed swimming some laps in the pool and relaxing in the hot tub. My 9 year-old-niece was with me so I didn't get to experience the spa the way I would have liked. If I ever make it up to Maine again, I will make it a point to stop here again. But perhaps with my boyfriend."

"The staff are very friendly, and they support one another. The breakfast is nicely laid out, and you had an option of preparing a bag to take with you. On a couple of days we prepared a lunch of bagel and cream cheese to take with us. This is an older hotel, but will maintained, and reminiscent of hotels I remember from 50 years ago."
