Very tired looking, wore Badly stsined Carpets, chippe, worn paint work.
The worse Breakfast and its sevice We have Ever had. Wrong orders, all items, Over cooked, dry, Easyest meal to prepare. Ony 6 pepple in dining room so Not Busy. Top Marks for ruining Breakfast score 1 out of 10! Terrible.
To add insult to injury I broke a Temp Crown trying to eat the rockhard toast. And an Emergency trip to the Dentist on return Home.
Shower tray edges mouldy, on off knob detached, could Not serficiantly lower temp of shower, Scolding hot down to Extreamley Hot to lowest temp Very Hot!!
Could be a Nice Hotel if Money was spent on it. Not worth the price per night.

The County Hotel is a no frills hotel but it is really well located, clean and tidy with friendly staff add has everything you need for a pleasant stay. Above all it was excellent value for money and I’m very happy that I didn’t end up paying more than I needed for a good night sleep and a decent breakfast during my one night stop over in Kendal.

Posted 24 Aug 2024 on HotelsMy friend and I came to Kendal for an overnight stay and really enjoyed our time at the County Hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was lovely and very reasonable. Would stay again.

This hotel scammed us. Despite booking and paying for a double room, they pretended Expedia had only booked a single…and said they had no rooms left. They told another couple arriving later the same evening the same lie. They had clearly rebooked our rooms as soon as they could charge a higher - peak season - rate.
Appalling - no one should stay here!

Awful experience at this hotel. We arrived and they told us that they had only received the booking as a single room
