"Plantation Hale Suites was well located (about halfway from the north and south shore areas). After reading some reviews complaining about the condition of the units, I was hesitant about staying here, However, our unit was in good condition, air conditioner worked fine (although a bit noisy which made watching tv a challenge with a high volume necessary), as did the ceiling fans. "It was decent. They do not have the pool in this property though."

"This property perhaps is best appreciated by thinking of it as a 'condo ' rather than a posh resort. Very well run, clean, close attention to detail, free parking, loaner beach gear etc. If you are expecting water slides and a lazy river...no. Medium sized pool w/ hot tub that we rarely shared w/ anyone. Do note that the upstairs neighbors were loud -- early (4 and 5 am) in spite of 'quiet time'. We complained once and then let it go... Great home base to Hanalei and local beaches. "

"Our stay was great! The good… most of the staff was nice and helpful. We especially liked the breakfast waiters and hosts. The room was nice, clean and updated and the cleaning staff was great. Activities were nice, mostly the yoga on the beach. The bike rental was a nice touch but I would be good if they allowed them to be out later.
