"I've been staying here on visits for the past five years and the experience has always been a good one. I had a small suite located at a corner of the building and could see the Himalayas out both windows whenever the weather was clear enough. Bed was comfortable and the large desk was a pleasure to use. Wi-fi was strong and internet connection was fast. "Was nice stay overall, looking at number of Indian tourists the breakfast could include more Indian dishes. The front desk is forced to charge more for cab bookings than what Indrive offered. Ishwor at there restaurant ensured a great experience with his exceptional service skills. "

"Staff here are top notch! So welcoming helpful and ready to make your stay the absolute best it can be. Gym was great to help me train for my trek. Pool was beautiful. Restaurant is fabulous and the buffet for dinner and breakfast was delicious. Will definitely be coming back here next time in Kathmandu! "

Hotel Shanker-Palatial Heritage Kathmandu

"This was an amazing place to stay...a former palace. It is elegant, beautiful, has spacious rooms with all the amenities, a wonderful restaurant with an impeccable menu at great prices, and pool. It is in a great and safe location, 5 mins from shops and main restaurants at a $2 cab ride away but peaceful where it is located.The breakfast buffet is delicious and varied. The massage was the best I've ever had anywhere in the world. The staff was extraordinary, helpful, &kind. I left significant money by mistake on the reception counter and was leaving in the cab, but staff from reception came running outside to bring me the money I had forgotten. That is beyond honest! "
