Nice cottages but over priced
Posted 30 Jun 2017 on HotelsNice cottage in beautiful Kangaroo Valley. Eco friendly. Fire place adds to the charm. Facilities are basic for the price. I would recommend to get the bread and fresh produce from Berry rather than paying extra for the food basket.

Thank you for your review which emphasises the importance of taking care when booking on online travel sites. These sites carry multiple pictures and have a standardised method of presentation and as such we are limited to the amount of information we can upload. However both this site and our website clearly represent every cottage in great detail and we go to great effort to ensure our business is represented responsibly and transparently. When you made your original booking you selected Fleur Farm Cottage – this is our simplest cottage for young families and couples. I phoned you and suggested an upgrade to Rose Garden Cottage which is larger and more comfortable for four adults. You accepted this upgrade which we gave you at no additional charge. Upon arrival you identified three problems, a) broken light globe, b) sheets puckered in the corners on single beds, c) fan not switching off. We offered to rectify the first two and there was no problem with the fan, however you did not accept that as sufficient, so we refunded you 100% and found you alternative accommodation. We are sorry that the accommodation did not meet your expectations however do feel we have appropriately represented our business.

We had a lovely stay at Crystal Creek Meadows. Staff were lovely, rooms were beautiful, great relaxing environment.

Pros: Very relaxing and away from the every day fast pace!
Cons: Quality of frozen dinners and were extra, some fresh steaks to BBQ would have been better

Overall very good, the gift hamper was a nice touch, but daily rate the same whether you stayed one night or more?

Dear Peter, we are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay in tranquil Kangaroo Valley. We do provide steaks, bbq packs and picnics which can be found on our website and our Welcome Kit sent to each guest upon booking. The frozen dinners are made locally and provide an additional option for convenience, but are not included in the tariff as not everyone wants these extras. Pros: Beautiful place stayed in lots of places and this was at the top friendly relaxing quiet and stunning views
Cons: Needed more time there
