The property is not maintained at all, we had a terrible smell in the room and complained more than 3 times with no response. One of the shutter didnt work and we also complained for no response, and finally, we were connected with a Tuktuk driver through the hotel that basically took us to all the places that scam tourists.

Very nice clean hotel with friendly helpful staff. Large rooms and very modern spacious bathroom. Only a few minutes ride to major bus station and train station with plenty of passing traffic to get transport to anywhere. Lots of dining options near the hotel and only 15 minutes easy walk to Kandy lake and City Centre. Highly recommend.

Comfortable and convenient
Posted 28 Apr 2024 on HotelsThe Sevana doesn’t look like much from the outside, but inside is spacious with lots of public seating areas and great views from the rooftop. We stayed here on two separate occasions and both times it was very good. Rooms are comfortable, staff are helpful. There’s a filtered water fountain with reusable glass bottles you can take to your room. The hotel organised a car and driver for us; both the car and the driver were very good, which is not always the case in Sri Lanka. There’s not many good eating options nearby, but we did find a good little restaurant across the road which did excellent dosas. It’s easy to get a tuk tuk to wherever you want to go.

Good property for a short stay in Kandy. Roof top pool is small but very clean.
Room is good, A/C works well and staff very friendly.
Not great if you have a disability as you need to climb 2 floors before the elevator is accessible

We just stayed 2 nights at this lovely property. The property was clean, the rooftop pool was great to cool down in the heat.
The bedrooms are clean and modern, excellent beds and bedding. The only let down was the drainage smell in the bathroom.
WiFi was intermittent.
We would stay here again.
Staff and the owners were all lovely and friendly.
In a good location, within 15 minute walk to the tooth relic temple and kandy lake.
