When I checked in the type of room that I had booked and paid for was not available due to claims of maintenance concerns. They offered me a downgraded room and were astonished that I asked for some of my money back.
They actually expected that they could sell a room, not deliver it and offer an inferior product but keep all the money.
The room was in the middle of a residential neighbourhood where every one had about a dozen roosters. Non stop crowing 24 hours a day. There was a nice large shared balcony, problem was kids playing until late at night then a family talking loudly at 5 AM.
Room itself was nice, modern and clean. However the kitchen had no hot place and there was no refrigerator in the room, but they did move a small one in.

Hi Rick, thanks for your review. First none our rooms were or are under maintenance so you were given the room you booked for. We are not dishonest so kindly do not make it out that we are trying in anyway to scam anyone. Yes some of the neighbours keep cocks but they will only crow at sunrise and and then sometimes sunset as the animals sleep at night so kindly do not exaggerate. I am not sure why you have an issue with kids playing in the street, also the street is on the other side of the building so you could not hear any street noise from your room. As for other guests talking loudly all you should have done is kindly requested them not to disturb you or advised one of our staff who would have done this for you. All guests are aware that after 9pm they are to keep the noise down in the communal areas. I take great offence that you are inferring that we are in anyway dishonest, we work very hard to run our small business and have had great reviews on different platform such as booking.com, airbnb and agoda. These reviews demonstrate the effort we make in providing our guests the best value for money and great levels of service that we are proud of. Regards Teresa

Excellent apartment. We were very satisfied with our choice, the apartment was huge, clean and we were very comfortable. The staff are superb, very attentive and friendly. They helped us with all our inquiries and organised our travel to boracay. Nice and quiet place with a big garden so we could relax properly after our long inbound flights. We tried a lovely restaurant just around the corner called Latte which was recommended by the staff. The apartment is easy to get to from Kalibo airport and close to the main bus station. Happy to recommend.

Lovely staff, professional and very polite and helpful. They helped us so much with our children so me and my husband had some time to do some shopping. Apartment was large and well designed. Everything was clean and tidy. We had a comfortable stay. Its an apartment building with large communal spaces and a big garden with outside furniture. Easy to get to from Kalibo airport and easy to get into town. The building is off the main road so quiet and peaceful. I definitely would recommend.

Very nice place to stay. Staff were great and made sure we were fine. The apartment was large and comfortable. Everything was nice and clean. Building has a big garden and large patio. Easy and quick to get to from the airport. Easy to get in and out of town. Nice restaurants close by. No complaints.

Staff were fantastic and treated us really well. The apartment was huge and very clean and comfortable. Building has a garden and large patios so plenty of space to relax in. Location is on a side street off one of the main roads into Kalibo. Its nice a quiet but still fine for going into the centre on town. We grabbed a tricycle and got around Kalibo without any hassles. Very close to Kalibo airport and the main bus station for our onward trip. Wifi worked well. Would stay there again.

Great place to stay. Staff are very nice and helpful and really took care of us. Large and comfortable apartment with everything you need including a small kitchen. Everything was very clean. Location was fine and easy to get to from the airport and easy to get into town. Its on a side street off one of the main roads into Kalibo so nice and quiet. Big garden and large communal areas to relax in. Nice to stay at a place with open but safe areas the kids can play in. WiFi was good we were able to stream and make video calls. Definitely recommend.

Great place to stay. The owner really took care of us and made our stay very comfortable. They organised an airport pick up and got us to the bus station the next day for our trip to Boracay. The apartment was large, comfortable and very clean. They have a nice Nipa hut in the garden were we chilled out and relaxed after dinner. Can't fault anything as everything was so nice. We will stay there again on the way back.

Hi Corazon, I believe you requested to cancel your booking on the day of your arrival. As per our Expedia cancellation policy you can cancel free of charge up to 72 hours before your arrival. Our cancellation policy is considered very moderate. Cancelling within that timeframe means you will incur a penalty as per Expedia's terms and conditions. If you're a foreigner the tricycle prices to and from the hotel can exceed the cost of the room.

Hi, firstly thank you for staying with us and we appreciate your review. I would like to also take the opportunity to reply to your points. Yes we are aware there is an issue with our wifi, the Wifi in the apartments especially the bedrooms which are at the back have poor connectivity and we are working in resolving this ASAP. Kindly note you did not need to go to the front desk as directly outside your apartment is a huge open area for guests to relax in and we have checked the wifi there and it's working fine. As for the cost of tricycles for an airport pick up this costs 250 pesos or $5 for any size group. I think is quite a reasonable cost for someone to collect your and your luggage and bring you safely you your destination. Please note these prices are fixed by the tricycle drivers who are allowed to operate at the airport and not us and is the same cost for any pick to any accomodation in Kalibo. As for getting around Kalibo from our location the maximum you will pay if you travel within the boundaries of Kalibo is around 30 pesos. The average trip from our location is only 10 pesos and this will get you to the local malls, main kalibo square and local restaurants etc. For these fares to exceed the cost of the room you will need to take around 150 trips or more so I would appreciate it if you could be more realistic in your review. The place is very clean. Teresa and Jucel, the ones who assisted us was very polite and helpful. The thing we didn't like was there were too many stray dogs outside the building and it was scary to walm on your own if youre afraid of stray dogs. Also you need to get to the main road to get your transpo more easily as the place was in inside street.

For some reason during your stay there was an increase in the area of stray dogs, normally there are just one or two roaming around who we look after and give food etc. As for transport yes we are on a side road but we have a tricycle service that can take you where you need to go in Kalibo as and when you like.
