We had a mixed stay: three rooms, all with slightly different experiences. One room was fantastic, but the other two had minor issues. The hotel was battling with the national power issues which meant that air conditioning was rarely on. The hotel consists of villa rooms which make the whole site very pleasant. Unfortunately (entirely outside the hotel’s control) weekend stays may be noisy due to a nearby music venue and the railway runs nearby (the railway doesn’t run many trains but if you coincide with a train running by at night then your sleep will be interrupted: thankfully the national railways are in a parlours state and trains seem to run rarely!)
The peacocks wandering round the site are a nice touch.

This place has been run down terribly. Most amenities don't work. There was no hot water and when I reported, I was offered a bucket of hot water collected from somewhere. Bath towels are old and stained. The staff is insulting and tired. My stay was horrible. I had to get dinner elsewhere but when I returned my parking area was taken. Several cars blocked my bay. Owners were partying in the adjacent villa. I will not go there again

Old, aging infrastructure, pleasant service
Posted 27 Sep 2022 on HotelsThe checkin process was good, though there was a misunderstanding on the room allocation versus the booking. We happily paid cash for the extra room. Our bathtub was old, noisy and the shower extension continuously leaked water. There was no facility for a standing shower..I was not happy about that at all!

Well organised with pleasant grounds
Posted 27 Oct 2013
Pros: With temperatures reaching 36 Centigrade, the air conditioning had to be the best feature, with the breakfast a close second
Cons: More attention to the grounds, providing secluded areas, separated by bushes and flowering plants.
Location: Nothing inspiring about the location or nearby attractions.
This is one of Zimbabwe's smarter hotels where most things work! It was lovely to have air conditioning, and hot and cold water all the time, even if the bathroom door did stick a bit! The breakfast was impressive. However the price was obnoxious, and not justified. We will have to think twice before using the hotel again as it was far more expensive than the others we used.
The hotel lies between the main roads and railway line which means it can be noisy.
The staff, without exception, were most anxious to please.
