Excellent stay.
The room was comfortable, clean, bright and traditionally furnished. The quality of the heating/aircon was exemplary..quiet and effective.
Breakfast was very good indeed. Beautifully presented and cooked, by the attentive and accomplished host, Pam.
The communal two downstairs sitting rooms were welcoming, quiet and appealing.
It was a ten minute walk into town, along a largely unlit street.
Downsides? The house is very close to a busy highway, which was pretty noisy through the night, and a couple of loud trains trundled through, too.
We were in Room 1, which is probably best avoided if are bothered by noise at night.
It is a very good place to stay, in an interesting small town
