Excellent stay
Posted 17 Jul 2024 on HotelsMargaret was very friendly and informative about the town and the festival. The house was sparkling clean and had everything we needed. I would highly recommend staying at her cottage.

Fantastic!
Posted 27 Aug 2023 on HotelsWe stayed for 2 nights and loved it. The location was great as we could walk everywhere and Margaret was so easy the communicate with. The lodge was spotless and the kitchen was well equipped. We would definitely stay again.

Great views and location.
Posted 15 Jun 2023 on HotelsOutstanding place, clean, well presented and comfy with fantastic views. Would definitely stay here again as the host was very helpful. There’s lots of stuff in the place you need. If your mobility isn’t great though speak to the place first as access via the path and steps might not be great.

Home from home!
Posted 28 Oct 2019 on HotelsGreat location for our needs (local running race), but great base to explore the area and all the amenities you need. We have stayed here a couple of times now and love our weekend away in Jedburgh!

Comfortable base for walking holiday

Pros: Spacious, comfortable, quiet location, great views over Jedburgh.
Cons: Only slight niggle is that it is a steep climb up to the cottages from reception either on a road with a gravel surface or up a flights of steps.
Location: Larkhall Burn is only about 2 minutes walk from the centre of Jedburgh where there are restaurants and shops. We were walking the St Cuthbert's Way.
We thought we had booked a room for three - it turned out to be a whole house! Very well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and nice sitting and dining area. Two internal flights of stairs, so not suitable for guests with mobility issues. We stayed two nights. Hosts John and Margaret were wonderful and came and collected us when our walk had taken much longer than expected and we were tired and at the side of the A-road in the dark. We were a group of 10 so this involved three trips in their car - well above and beyond! Wonderful apples from the garden too - we are only sorry we were so late we missed the home-made cake!

Excellent stay at lark hall burn Cottages
Posted 29 Aug 2018 on HotelsLovely four night stay. Owners are extremely friendly and helpful, the cottages are up a hill so not the easiest if you have mobility issues but clean and tidy and very comfortable with great views over Jedburgh. hope to visit again soon.

Fabulous accommodation, looks like a beach house in the town, everything within walking distance, very well looked after and well appointed with just about everything you could need, lovely bedding and towels, comfy sofa, dining table, and patio furniture, our only small niggle was that the bed was very hard. Would recommend to anyone wishing a bit of a break in the lovely borders
