"I do NOT recommend that hotel. Old style boxxy hotel from the 1980'. Super small bathroom and shower with a plastic curtain. For the toilet, you litterally stand in the shower : unacceptable. Ok it is clean and there is a small unattractive pool. It is worth no more than 50 €, a sort of ok 2 stars lodge. No Zanzibar dream at all.
Breafast is ok.
Hotel is situated in second line from the beautiful beach. There are much nicer hotels ON the beach.
Without a car, you are trapped in an ugly back...
"The Bali Resort is a beautiful serene hotel with great staff. My stay was too short. I definitely enjoyed it here. Special shoutout to Amina for the hospitality. "
"Great property. Loved the stay here. Advised us of the local rules and things to pay attention to. I enjoyed the beachfront and the ability to lounge basically on the beach. The resturant had good options and get fresh juice.
Only drawback was the wi-fi strength and stability inside the room, it kept cutting in and out. Also there was a limit to the amount of devices that would be connected with the code given.
Overall, would definetly recommend staying here. "
"Good things: Localisation, right on the beach.
Excellent things: Diana the receptionist is a jewel! Very recourceful, problem-solving minded and friendly!! Manager also very helpful and nice. Excellent housekeeping staff
Bad things: Not the fault of the hotel, but the lack of electricity was too much "

"I really enjoyed my stay. I would recommend this resort — great food variety, friendly staff members, and lots of things to do at the resort. The pool is great, and the beach area is amazing with breathtaking views and sightseeing.

"We planned to stay at Blue Moon Resort for three nights but loved it so much that we extended our stay. The staff were friendly, hardworking, and welcoming. Check-in was simple, and we got a tour before heading to our private pool room, which was clean, spacious, and quiet. The pool was surrounded by large palm trees, making it incredibly relaxing to float and watch them sway. The room had a minibar, Netflix, and an Alexa station, and housekeeping cleaned it daily.
A couple of minor issues: the wardrobe only had four hangers, which wasn’t enough, and the shower temperature fluctuated between hot and cold every 30 seconds.
The restaurant overlooked the sea and served great food. I had local traditional meals, and one night, a BBQ buffet with live music created a lively atmosphere. Breakfast was à la carte, and the vegetarian option was excellent, with fresh avocado, stir-fried vegetables, and pineapple juice.
The grounds were well-maintained and peaceful. We loved relaxing on the jetty and swimming in the warm, calm sea. The beach was rocky, but we visited a Maasai shop nearby.
Bring cash (USD), as the card machine had issues. My wife had a reasonably priced full-body massage. The dogs and cats were tame, but a monkey on a lead seemed unfairly restricted.

"What a luxury to step out of our room onto a soft, white sand beach. Between our room, the water and neighbouring restaurants, we never needed to leave the beach! The rooms are simple, but clean and the bed was comfortable. The bungalows are lovely with a laid-back vibe, a beautiful garden and lots of shade trees. Restaurants are close by and the wood-fired pizza shop, literally steps from our door, made delicious pizza. What really made our visit was the staff – They are the best! Everyone is welcoming, friendly and always ready to assist.
We liked that it was an ‘public' beach as described in the listing. Kids and families from the village played in the water, there was a nightly football game on the beach, and photogenic fishing boats and dhows bobbed in the water. Honest review – expect local guides, souvenir sellers, etc. to approach you on the beach. Fortunately, they are mostly easy going and it can be fun just to talk to them. The bungalows are closely clustered around the bar/lounge area. It is low-keyed, everyone is there just to chill, and all is quiet even before 10. Overall, this is an excellent value in a truly special location."
"Accommodation was a bit rustic but the customer service was exemplary. Friendly and endlessly helpful the staff at the White Sands Bungalows enhanced my Zanzibar experience!"
