Pretty good for what it is. The best part of this place is proximity to train station, the amazing service, private capsules, and amazing food nearby. Try Djakarte and Historia, which are both nearby. There is also a plaza nearby with night attractions, live music, etc. Staff are so friendly and helpful!

Wonderloft Hostel is an amazing place to be! The hostel is strategically located in the cultural and historical area of Jakarta called Kota Tua. With the night market, street-art vendors, museums and old-colonial buildings around the vicinity; it is indeed the most happening part of Jakarta. The rooms were clean, comfortable and cosy. There were a few hangout areas in the hostel and they were great places to chill or get to know new people. The most amazing thing about this hostel is the people there. The Wonderloft Team is like no other hostel staffs; they were amazing people who sought after authentic relationships - going out of their way/ duties to meet our needs. I definitely enjoyed all of my 9 days there and would definitely be dropping by again the next time I’m in Jakarta. Appreciative of everyone there!

The best hostel that I could have stayed in!
Posted 14 May 2018 on HotelsWonderloft was an ideal place for my stay. For the low price, you are assured a decent dorm (in the form of a capsule bed, though I don't know why they call it capsule. It's quite large and spacious, with a locker inside).
The staff are extremely friendly. Especially Sandy, who was very accommodating and friendly, patiently helping with all enquiries and helping book taxis..
The location, in my opinion, is the highlight. It's located right next to Fatahillah Square in Old Jakarta. There are quite a few cafes just a couple of minutes down the road, in the square. I wish the staff would let you know about this amazing place just behind the hostel, as I found it through research, and then was extremely surprised to know it's right next door.
The rooms can can get a tad bit warm, but it's not too bad. Overall, a great stay.

JAW-DROPPING LOCATION AND SPECTACULAR COMMON ROOM

Pros: STAFF
LOCATION
COMMON ROOM
Upon arriving Soekarno International Airport I boarded the Damri bus bound for Gambir. This is by far the cheapest transportation mode to the city ; the ticket costs a mere Rp.40,000 as opposed to about Rp.200,000 for a taxi. It took about 60-90 minutes to get to Gambir from where I hailed a Bluebird taxi to Wonderloft hostel. If my memory serves me right, the taxi fare was roughly Rp.25,000. A solo visitor is well advised to be on guard all the time as the journey to a foreign country is fraught with peril.
I was warmly welcomed by a staff who was gregarious and chummy. Check-in process was fast and easy. I was given a key to my locker which was located just behind my pillow. The locker was somewhat small and could hardly accommodate a large baggage.
Breakfast here is complementary and is quite bland and mediocre comprising basically bread, butter, jam, cereal, tea, coffee etc. A magnificent feature of the hostel is its awe-inspiring common room where guests could watch TV, play snooker, access internet, relish breakfast etc

Amazing Hostel. A must stay.
Posted 10 Nov 2017 on HotelsI can’t recommend this hostel enough. It’s clean. It’s cheap. It’s very modern. The private rooms are unusually large for a hostel. The beds are comfy and spotless. The AC is strong. The road outside from the private room is a little loud but a pair of ear plugs and you can’t hear it. I’m a light sleeper and it didn’t bother me. The dorm rooms are further back so I can imagine they would be quieter. The staff are friendly. The breakfast is basic but free. There’s atms around the corner. As far as the location goes I didn’t stay long enough to explore the area well enough to comment. The hostel is close to the docks if you’re visiting any of the islands and was only 80000R to get to from the airport.
