Really lovely hotel for a stay in Jaco. The property concierge is excellent as is the coffee shop and daily breakfasts. Just down the street is a wonderful juice bar and local produce store. The walk to Jaco’s Main Street is just 10-mins away.

Oceano was definitely one of the best lodging options for downtown Jaco. Everything you could want was writhing a 10-minute walk or a 10-minute taxi drive. The property is new and the facilities are upgraded. Our particular room included a a full kitchen with laundry. We had a separate bedroom and a living room that included a large couch which converted into a double decker bed. The room had two balconies which overlooked the pool. There were also floor to ceiling windows that brought in lots of light. This can be good or bad. The view was lovely, but could be noisy at night when people were frolicking in the pool. Also, you could be seen through the windows by neighbors. We kept the shade down most times. However, the property was lovely.
Breakfast was included in our stay and it was homemade deliciousness. The staff provided free beach or pool towels that could be exchanged each day. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The hotel tour concierge was very helpful and helped my family customize our excursion experience.
Each night we could walk to the best restaurants and bars and felt safe. I highly recommend Oceano.
FYI: as of Dec 2024, there are three additional properties being built in the area. By Dec 2025, I imagine that strip will be a bustling little metropolis. I look forward to returning.

Horrible service and bunch of crooks. Had to guard my keys for would be charged 15 dollars for a lost plastic key. Excursion service desk was fraudulent. Promises but got half of it. Turned around and said that they do not care and won't refund. Do whatever we can

Best hotel in Jaco. We had a wonderful experience.The staff and service are awesome.
VIP experience with the bottle of champagne was a nice surprise.

Walking around the area, this hotel is definitely the best value for money.
A short work to the beach and the Main Street (restaurant, supermarket, bars and shops).
A la carte breakfast included, which was great. Cafe latte extra cost, but worth it!
Tour desk staff super friendly and informative, all other staff great. Lovely pool setting, clean and comfy beds, great air con, and a nice restaurant area.
My room had a fridge with a water dispenser, which was amazing!
VIP access gave me a complimentary 2pm check out, which was great!
Very small negative - Draining board rack needs replacing and gym needs a deep clean and equipment needs servicing.
