What is wrong with the key card lock?

The deadbolt didn’t work. The key card lock was sometimes working and sometimes not. Annoying. Event after maintenance came to change the battery. Even the maid couldn’t get it to work. So I had to get a new key card almost every time I went to the room. And the front desk said it must be me who deactivated it. And I know I didn’t. Room 111
