It was under construction with dust and debris and we were there for medical treatment in Jacksonville and were not notified of the fumes and dust and delays in elevator issues with a wheelchair guest ahead of time. Very inconvenient and unprofessional and a big health risk for a person with breathing problems.

I spent the entire weekend including most of the daytime since I had major surgery on Monday. I could not rest due to all the construction noise. I would have stayed on Beach Boulevard if I had known.
Also disappointed that I went down to breakfast Friday and saw very little breakfast meat at 8. I went earlier on Saturday or Sunday and saw breakfast staff filling plates for maintenance staff. I’m a devoted Hilton member but was extremely disappointed.
Also disappointed that when I found out that my surgery required a Monday night stay in the hospital, I couldn’t cancel my last night because I booked on Expedia. All in all a very disappointing weekend.

I had booked a 6 days stay at the property, but was not informed about it being a construction site.
Main entrance could not be used to get to rooms, and you had to take your luggage around the side door with an awful floor, only one elevator was usable, etc etc.
Smell of chemicals was bad. Left after 3 nights.
I have stayed there previously several times and was very satisfied.

It would have been nice to have known there would be renovations going on. Even when checking in they could have informed you. Left a day earlier than booked!

This stay was a huge disappointment. The hotel was under construction which was not disclosed when I booked it and the noise kept me up until after 1am. I called the front desk person who denied that there was any noise… I strongly suggest that no one stays there for a long time. The most disturbing part is that the front desk attendant said he would look into it but did nothing and there was no follow up. I came because I was visiting a parent at Mayo who was in a tragic accident and was so exhausted after being awake half of the night that I could barely stay awake to handle the situation at Mayo.

Property is under renovation and although they were not working on the floor we were on, I smelled paint all night. Nothing was stated on their website about the renos, we saw evidence and asked about it. Very unpleasant experience. Sorry Hampton. Do better.
