A different sort of hotel. Loved it.
Posted 8 Mar 2018 on HotelsThis is rather a different sort of hotel. The rooms are individual buildings and, from what we saw, each building has its own ‘plunge pool’. The room was spacious with a large comfortable bed, two comfortable arm chairs and a log fire. The bathroom was large and modern, very stylish, with multiple shower options. The whole place was spotlessly clean. There was also a microwave and coffee machine and cups for an expresso, but no plates or cutlery. Breakfast was served up in a large room and was good. The only negative is you arrive at a large electric gate, and there is no bell/communication to get in. We banged and rattled the gate. If in the area again, we would choose it.

A wonderful place to stay

Pros: Beautiful décor, kindness of staff, comfort of the room, sitting reading by the fire in the evening. Superb breakfast.
Location: You need a car as it is some way out of Cuenca. We loved the hotel so much we did not venture far from it other than to visit Cuenca itself
We stayed in Camelia which was absolutely beautiful-gorgeous décor, comfortable and charming. The owner and staff were so kind and attentive too. They lit our fire every evening then brought an incredible breakfast to the room each morning. This was all home made and served on lovely china with embroidered napkins etc. Included a scrumptious cake each day too! The only problem was that we loved the place so much it was hard to be bothered going out! We had two very happy days in this relaxing place which has been brought together with such care.
