"The place was falling apart and very dirty. There were splashes of food and cobwebs on the walls, long hairs in the bathroom, leaves and debris in the fridge, and something in the hall closet had a rancid smell that permeated into the bedroom. Upon expressing this concern to the management they told us to turn on some airflow and that they'd look at it *after* we checked out. Not helpful at all. "The property was very clean and spacious. The hosts instructions were very clear with lots of information about nearby shopping, restaurants and hot springs. The car park was very close to the property as well as the station being one minute away. The beach is also a one minute walk. I highly recommend this property for both small and large groups. "

"Unbelievable night here. Views of lake Ashi and Mount Fuji the best you can get. Even from our personal onsen or balcony footpath. The kids loved watching a movie on the big projector while the parents enjoyed the view. Fridge full of free gifts of food, wine and beer plus soft drinks also. Nice touch. We absolutely loved it here. Caught the bus from odawara station which took about 55mins and the bus stop is just outside the accommodation (Hakone Shiso Mae). On way back 2 bus stops either side...

"The total number of nights spent here exceeds 30, but the service is always well-managed, clean and clear."

"Beautiful view from our room. Only down side was our room was on the warmer side. And we could not figure out the AC units remote. Even with google translate pictures, the settings werent working. We resorted to opening the balcony windows and turning the heat off. Other than that the room was clean and an enjoyable space. "

"Wonderfully modern and clean home. The best part was the restaurant next door and the private Onsen soaring tub. They provide a number toiletries as a convenience if you didn’t bring any. The mini splits do take time to warm up the home, but once they do it is very comfortable. "

"We had a wonderful stay at Villa Hakone Stage. The Villa itself is quite spacious (we had a family of three staying) - a welcome change from the cramped living conditions in Tokyo. The villa was clean and very comfortable. The location is right next to both the "pirate" ship port and the ropeway to the top of Owakudani. We arrived via the Romance Car and Hakone Tozan Train from Shinjuku and then caught the Cable Car and Ropeway to the villa (it is a short walk from the Ropeway station). The host...
