Excellent hotel. Staff were amazing and it has a nice personal feel making it more relaxing. Excellent location and perfect for me as I was out exploring most of the time and loved the quiet after a busy day.

Sold a lie, photo and description of the hotel did not match the actual hotel. Key points to be noted 1. No Ac, 2. No laundry service 3. No iron provided. 4. Staines on sheet, probably not changed 5. Very dusty, if have dust allergy or asthma Avoid, 6. Rude staff x2 7. Qulc to ask for a tip. Spoit my holiday. I had to change my hotel. Issues: Due change hotel Had to pay double for my airport transfers as it was pre booked and holidays extra didnt allow change Cost me £50 and lost out my £73 and pre paid. Paid uber taxi got over charged to move hotel 200 lira. Had to walk 2dk which is about 1 mile (I think) This all happened due to a lie expedia and the shining hotel sold. Horrific experience. To top it up had my lil one 3 suitcase and 2 hand luggage. Horrible,Horrific, Avoid

We had a wonderful stay. Not only was the staff incredibly friendly and helpful, but the hotel itself was extremely clean and offered a great breakfast. The location was also perfect for sightseeing being close to many attractions. We would absolutely stay here again.

We just came off a cruise ship and we’re looking for a quiet hotel near tourist attractions. This is the place. They have double pane windows and the place was extremely quiet. It’s a small hotel, but it’s completely been redone with beautiful modern finishes. The hotel faces a side street and is away from the big street noise. We only intended to stay one night, then look for a different hotel, part of our preplanning. After our first night, we quickly realized that we wanted to stay here for the next two days until we flew back home. The staff was very accommodating. Although the hotel was booked, they somehow managed to get us into another room, which was super quiet as well. Every room in this place appears to be modern, quiet and peaceful. We stayed here for a total of three nights. They had a very nice Turkish breakfast daily. Lastly, I can’t say how friendly and accommodating the hotel staff were. They were able to give us directions, recommendations, and really made us fill part of their hotel family during our stay. They arranged for a taxi to the airport for us also.

Modern and very clean hotel very close to all the tourist attractions in Sultanahmet yet in a very quiet side road. Rooms are a good size and very clean. Very good breakfast selection. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly especially Gunaydin, Serhat, Emre, Yusuf and Ercan. Would definitely stay here again.

It was excellent. Loved the location of the hotel. Loved the view from the room. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. All the attractions, restaurants and shops are within walking distance. This hotel is very close to most attractions and few steps away from the tram line which takes you to all other touristic locations. The staff are very helpful and very nice. The room looks newly renovated. The breakfast was nice.

I had a great experience at the shining star hotel with my friends. We had a comfortable stay. The staff were extremely nice and welcoming. The hotel is placed in a great location, with a view of the Hagia Sophia. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to experience the old city of Istanbul.

shining star was in an excellent location. All the main attractions was in walking distance. lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Staff were available 24/7 and were so helpful and friendly. asked them to sort us out taxis as we were being overcharged as tourists. we stayed for a week and really enjoyed our stay. breakfast was good to start you off for the day. rooms were clean and spacious. quiet area which was brilliant after a full day of sightseeing. cant fault anything.
