This has been one of my worst stays with Hotels.com. The property listed on the website had nothing to do with the one I actually received. The flat was advertised as non-smoking and including a sofa bed, but neither of these was true. The apartment had a very strong, almost unbearable cigar smell, and there was no sofa bed.
The overall condition of the property was poor and unsafe. The fridge didn’t work, and the shower doors were broken. We had planned to stay for 6 nights, but due to the very poor conditions and the lack of a proper place for our child to sleep, we decided to leave after just a few hours.
After check-in, the host became impossible to contact. Despite trying to reach Hotels.com more than 10 times for support and to request a refund or assistance in changing accommodations, we were unable to get any help.
The entire experience felt like a fraud, completely misleading, and not what we expected from a platform we trusted.
