Great location. Plenty of room.
Posted 20 Aug 2023 on HotelsWonderful stay on Lewis. Clean and comfortable. Woke up to the sound of sheep baaaaaing outside. Enjoyed seeing the sights on Lewis and Harris.
Nice breakfast, which is included.
They serve a dinner too, which was delicious. However we didn’t find out until checkout that there was an extra £30 per plate fee! We should have asked first!

This property was in a beautiful location and has the potential to be a really great place. Unfortunately our room/apartment had a really strong mouldy/musty smell which was very prominent as soon as opening the door. We only had one night here and a very short stop otherwise we would have asked to be moved because I didn’t feel like being around that smell was healthy. My travel mates slept in the double room and they found that when they pulled the sheets back there was sand/dirt and bodily hairs that had not been cleaned on the bed sheets which is really not good enough. Other than this the place was neat, tidy and clean but the smell and the fact that the double bed sheets appeared to have not been cleaned would stop us from recommending the property.

Donald and his staff made us feel comfortable and welcome. The evening meals were fantastic with fresh local foods cooked perfectly. Large room with lovely view. Loch Roag is a winner for guests!

Overnight stay at Loch Roag
Posted 23 Aug 2022 on HotelsWe had a comfortable and easy stay at the family run Loch Roag. Everybody was courteous and customer focused. Good choice of breakfasts, cooked and otherwise and good evening meal too. Lovely room with a view over the loch and also en-suite. Would be happy to stay again.
