Very comfortable stop on cycling route, Hebridean Way, & handy for Callanish Stones.
Wonderful stay on Lewis. Clean and comfortable. Woke up to the sound of sheep baaaaaing outside. Enjoyed seeing the sights on Lewis and Harris.
Nice breakfast, which is included.
They serve a dinner too, which was delicious. However we didn’t find out until checkout that there was an extra £30 per plate fee! We should have asked first!
This property was in a beautiful location and has the potential to be a really great place. Unfortunately our room/apartment had a really strong mouldy/musty smell which was very prominent as soon as opening the door. We only had one night here and a very short stop otherwise we would have asked to be moved because I didn’t feel like being around that smell was healthy. My travel mates slept in the double room and they found that when they pulled the sheets back there was sand/dirt and bodily hairs that had not been cleaned on the bed sheets which is really not good enough. Other than this the place was neat, tidy and clean but the smell and the fact that the double bed sheets appeared to have not been cleaned would stop us from recommending the property.
Lovely guesthouse, delicious breakfast and dinners, warm, friendly hosts and staff, excellent location for standing stones etc and also only 35 minutes drive from Stornaway.
Donald and his staff made us feel comfortable and welcome. The evening meals were fantastic with fresh local foods cooked perfectly. Large room with lovely view. Loch Roag is a winner for guests!
We had a comfortable and easy stay at the family run Loch Roag. Everybody was courteous and customer focused. Good choice of breakfasts, cooked and otherwise and good evening meal too. Lovely room with a view over the loch and also en-suite. Would be happy to stay again.
Could not fault cleanliness and staff were brilliant.Very nice breakfasr and service brilliant.

Lovely Bed and Breakast on Lewis Isle, a wee distance from the Callanish Stones. Lovely windswept view over the Roach sea loch with sheep grazing all around. Friendly kind staff and pleasant rooms. Highly recommend!
Donald who owns the Loch Roag Guest House was warm and welcoming, and very helpful. He prepared an excellent dinner on the evening of our arrival and great breakfasts. He has enormous local knowledge that was particularly helpful on a rainy day.
An easily accessible hotel via bus (W2, Breasaclete School stop) within easy walk of Callanish, the Coastal Trail etc.
Excellent food and wonderful hosts.
