A Real Haven
Posted 16 Apr 2019 on HotelsThe Lagg Hotel was like a haven for us. Our ferry had been delayed getting to Arran, so we were well and truely ready for a quiet peaceful night. We found the perfect place. The wooded setting, the spacious room and a fantastic meal in the Hotel's restaurant was just the tonic we needed.

Pros: No comlaints about any aspect.
Cons: Maybe a bigger variation of dinner menu!
Location: Not a lot to do in the close location
Maybe a bit out of the way without transport. Staff lovely. Food goodand room comfortable, cosy and very clean. Enjoyed our stay.

Nice walk to the beach and plenty of sightseeing only a short drive away. Would recommend this place which added to a very relaxing and enjoyable stay on Arran.

Pros: Lovely old building which was nice and quiet even when busy
Cons: Mirror in bedroom for when drying your hair
Location: A bit isolated but if you have a car no issue
Lovely hotel and friendly staff, a bit isolated but lovely for few days stay. Food delicious and lovely conservatory to sit in at night and look over the gorgeous garden and occasional squirrel !

Cosy and comfortable
Posted 30 Jul 2018 on EbookersThis was a perfect place to stay during a cycle weekend around Arran, with comfortable rooms, warm showers and cosy fires to warm up by after a rainy day, plus a lovely garden to explore when the rain stopped (or for us, slowed down at least!). We called ahead to ask about bike storage and let the hotel know about our dietary requirements, and staff were very helpful in catering for both. The food was yummy too. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
