Posted 20 Sep 2024 on HotelsThis was one of our favorite places to stay in Scotland. The host and hostess went out of their way to be helpful and made it very warm and welcoming. The “little breakfast” was just right and they have both washers and dryers in the laundry (a big deal here!).

Lorna and Karl are exceptional hosts: very welcoming and helpful. They really do make you feel at home. The hostel is very well equipped, clean, right on the beach and within walking distance of excellent restaurants (and a short drive to the local distillery!) The lounge is comfortable and roomy. The kitchen has everything you need to make your own meals. A self-serve buffet breakfast is also available. I highly recommend this hostel and would definitely stay here again, given the opportunity.

The only issue I found was the wifi was very random and would cut out often. Lorna and Karl were great hosts - very friendly and knowledgeable. Make sure to book for dinner as places can fill quickly
