The rooms are large and clean and beautiful. The pool has a volleyball net set up which my family really enjoyed. We enjoyed the free breakfast. The hotel is in a gorgeous mountain community. We loved eating at Connie’s across the street. We went there multiple times.

This was our first time staying on the Idaho side of the park, but it will definitely be the first of many to come!! We were so impressed with the area, the price, the grounds. And it was nice having Connie’s across the street since we didn’t get in until later evening. Very enjoyable! Oh, and the pancake machine in the breakfast area - biggest hit for the kids!!

The hotel looked great and was very clean. It was a bit of a drive from Yellowstone but also much cheaper than staying in West Yellowstone. It had hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, and pancakes, as well as cold items. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Overall everything was great. The only negative was the kid in the room above us kept running back and forth which we could hear clearly in our 1st floor room.

The good: Check in was great and smooth. Room was very clean and hot tub was wonderful. Kitchen is spacious and easy to work with, although i do wish the stove was a tad bit bigger. I did like having an option of being able to do laundry. The bad: Room was extremely noisy, i heard everything from the other bed rooms around us such as TV's, kids crying, footsteps. Walls are thin which is ridiculous. The breakfast was subpar and kinda sucked, dont count on it at all. This "resort" is lazy as all get out, having guests put used towels down stairs near the laundry and dryer machines, and putting dishes in the dishwasher and running it. The stairs to the main suites with the hot tubs and normal rooms has no way of getting luggage up easy! Theres the trolly but cant use it because of no ramp! Watched elderly struggle, so if you have a lot of stuff good luck!

Breakfast needs more variety. Scrambled eggs and over cooked, dried out sausages every morning. In the room, there was no coffee machine or iron. Island park doesn’t have many options to dine out in late Sept early Oct. Be prepared, and bring food. Also, hotel charges resort fees when you arrive.

Visiting W. Yellowstone, I looked for a place that had great reviews and reasonably priced. This was a great find! About 25-30 minutes from the West Entrance, the cozy, very spacious, rustic room was very comfortable with all the amenities i.e. microwave, mini fridge, desk etc. The bathroom was a nice size with a large countertop and tile floors. Breakfast was included, which was one of the reasons I booked here as well, since we were only staying one night. Theresa is a gem and had great information about the surrounding area. If you have time, check out Mesa Falls, which was a suggestion from Theresa! Not much to choose from to eat, and bc it's farther out, the wait time to eat was about an hour, so go early and BE PATIENT. We ate at Connies across the parking lot. Pretty good food, but very convenient !

Our room was pleasantly decorated. The bathroom was large. Loved the property, the buildings, the outdoor areas, the proximity to Yellowstone, the proximity to restaurants, gas and grocery store. The staff was pleasant and did a good job cleaning each day. We didn't like that the pool water was cold, the hot tub didn't have working jets, and breakfast was not warm enough. Also the fridge in our room made noise like a very loud cpap machine. We had a stay there overall, and we'd be happy to return.
