Nice and quiet place on Holbox
Posted 21 Dec 2019 on HotelsWell kept, clean and nice hostel which is more like a simple hotel. Staff was really friendly. If you’re looking for a peaceful place to stay while in Holbox, I can only recommend the place. It’s just a few blocks away from the center of the island.

Pros: Clean, Close to the beach, friendly staff, great facilities for cooking, comfortable common areas
Golden Paradise was a lovely, out of the way, hostel for our first trip to Holbox. We stayed on the island for about 13 nights and our room was our home for that time. The staff were wonderful, the room was comfortable, and the garden was lovely for relaxing. My only regret is that I wish we had booked our visit for the next year before we left. It appears with the growing visitor volume in Holbox that the property is already booked out for the dates we are hoping to visit.

Would definitely stay again
Posted 18 May 2017 on HotelsAs far as hostels go, this place was great! I stayed here for a week. The communal kitchen was kept very clean as well as the room and grounds. My shower was cold, but I came to always expect that traveling in Mexico. Wifi worked well compared to other places I had stayed.

Quiet hotel close to downtown and beach
Posted 25 Jan 2017The hotel manager, Israel, was great to work with. His English is good for those who are working on their Spanish. This is a great deal, we had a private room with bathroom. It had ac, a fan, small refrigerator and was cleaned daily. There is a shared kitchen if you want to cook and hammocks outside. Conveniently located so you get the quiet away from town but a short walk to restaurants, markets, and the beach!

Pros: Everything at the hostal was well done and looked after. The grounds, buildings and reception staff were great!
Location: The hostal is close to town centre and many good restaurants are nearby. And, best of all it is a very short 4 blocks to the sea!
My sister and her husband travelled with me to Holbox Island for a quiet experince. Qe stayed four nights at Golden Paradise Hostal in an upstairs room. The room was pretty small for 3 adults but very cosy. it is a pretty close walk to the beach and centro.
