Just one night here on business. Arrived late to very friendly welcome. Lovely room. Spotless. Comfy bed and excellent shower. I enjoyed the eggs benedict for breakfast. Would stay here again. Recommended.

Posted 7 Oct 2024 on HotelsBeautiful old building on the NC500. Simply stunning, from the long driveway and grounds to the grand lounge and dining areas. Bedroom was an impressive size with tasteful period style decor. Staff were all great, food was superb.

Nice stay, great food but needs window screens…
Posted 2 Oct 2024 on HotelsWe thought our sons would enjoy staying in a castle but I was wrong. The building was quite a bit rundown and had no AC. It would have been ok if we could have had the windows open but there were no screens on the windows so the room filled up with gnats. Thankfully the service was excellent and we were able to gets fans for the rooms which certainly helped. The food and drinks were delicious! We also enjoyed the property and the ponies.

Posted 3 Aug 2024 on HotelsBeautiful grounds and location. The hotel restaurant was closed so just a limited bar menu and it would have been good for that to have been disclosed prior to arrival. The highland cow kids toys on arrival was the sweetest gesture! Overall we enjoyed the stay :)

Great as a bread and breakfast. May be best to eat out for dinner.
