It was good to have an open fire, because the living area was cold without it : perhaps a heat pump as well would be a good idea. We had to get lots more firewood from the woodpile especially kindling as we lit the fire each morning and evening. The living area was quite dark. "Surprised at the comfort and huge space. Compared to most other budget accommodation hotels, this was rare find. Quiet, comfortable and well equipped. The building is of an older character, but that is not a negative. ."
