ButterFly Home is a great place ......
Posted 16 Dec 2019 on HotelsGreat place, highly recommended, owner very attentive, be sure to read your welcome email if arriving later in the day to get entry info, bldg not readily recognizeable, it is near the Salad Box, we think the BigBus hop-onoff tour bus may be better option, love the place ......

Andras the host was always accessible and extremely helpful in all matters. Not to mention quite funny. His English is excellent. Facilities were fantastic — extremely clean. All furniture appeared to be brand new and plenty of room for storage. Also, a ton of electrical outlets. The breakfast spread was incredible. HIGHLY recommend staying at Butterfly Home. The location couldn’t have been better! Literally across the street from the Danube and Liberty Bridge. 5/5 stars!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Deception and misrepresentation
Posted 1 Sep 2019 on HotelsWhen we checked into Butterfly Home in the early evening we met one of the workers at the entry gate and he led us to a large room with my name written in chalk on the door. At no point did he inform us that we were in an upgraded room or that we would have to pay more for the room as we had paid for three nights in the standard room.
The next morning we met with the main owner (Andras I believe?) and he informed us that we had come to the wrong property even though it was the address listed on the hotels.com reservation. He also mentioned this had been an ongoing problem. He told us that it was a more expensive room and we needed to move to another room in the same building, which we did.
Imagine our surprise when we were charged an extra $154 on top of our 3 nights booking fee!
If we had been directed to the proper location or proper room when we first arrived, this would have been acceptable. However, directing us to an upgraded room without telling us until the next morning is completely ridiculous and unacceptable. Why was our name written in chalk on the door? Why did the first person who met us not tell us that we had to pay extra money for the room?
We tried to settle this issue through hotels.com but were told that the owners were firm in their decision. We believe they should not do their business in this dishonest way because other people who try to book this place through hotels.com might go through the same problems as we did. We feel we were scammed.

Amazing view/ late access

At a B&B which room matters
Posted 20 Jun 2019 on HotelsButterfly Pent house has 3 rooms. #1 is very good and on the level with the lift and very nice breakfast area and lounge #2&3 require going up a narrow spiral staircase #2 is large and has a modern bathroom. (Tub ok, shower not working) AC and WIFI worked. #3 a rolling disaster. Bath is very tiny, shower is an add on, in the sleeping area. AC inadequate plus they could not figure out how to turn off heater. WiFi didn’t work, the patio was dismal, actually a low roof top with no breeze.
The folks are really great. Eventually we moved out of 3 to 2. Breakfast was fine, with eggs to order. The young woman our first day was very helpful with directions. If I never saw room 3 my rating would be higher
