The island itself is beyond beautiful - nature at its absolute best
Great staff Altho service could be slow at times
Super clean rooms and public areas
Highly inflated drinks prices - 45 usd for Sparking wine 😳
Very Limited food options - buffet or pizza
Accomodation was rather basic - definitely not 5 star
In short we had a terrific vacation but if you’re expecting 5 star luxury then I’d pass - if you are happy hanging out on stunning beaches and in liquid crystal seas then you’ve found you’re place

3* Resort with nice lagoon. Construction nearby!
Posted 11 Mar 2020 on HotelsIt's a nice hotel. Just came back after spending 12 gays there. Resort just celebrated 1 year anniversary on March 5th 2020. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Beautiful lagoon. Make sure you reserve a Sunset Bungalow, as the sunrise side is hard to swim with lot's of rocks and corals. Unfortunately our bathroom didn't look anything like is advertised on hotel photos. For only 1 year old resort our bathroom was in a poor shape. Not to mention the garden part of the outdoor bathroom was covered with weeds and some ugly grass! Cracks in the floor and mold. Overall, the room was comfortable and IKEA furnished. Biggest disappointment was out meal plan. We purchased "full board" which included all meals, however for lunch and dinner only tap water was served. No juice or anything, unless you pay $6.50 for a small glass of juice. As I talked to other tourists, even all inclusive package offered only cheap wine and watery beer and few basic drinks.
Going to the island description. Happy with the beach and lagoon, well maintained and cleaned daily. Sadly, there is a construction on two island next to Resort. When sitting at the bar you can see the construction going on. Also on the restaurant side, the is something happening.

Everything was fine. The only minus is that they have no house reef. There is a boat taking guests for snorkelling only once a day, at 9.00 a.m. Very inconvinient. No life jackets provided and it says "only for confident snorkellers".

Dear Stefy,
Thank you very much for sharing your holiday memories of Innahura Maldives Resort with us.
It was certainly a pleasure to have you on our beautiful Island and to read that Innahura has exceeded your expectations with the best value of money that we offer our guests. We are thrilled to know you have enjoyed our exceptional level of hospitality, spotless Bungalows, as well as the delicious and diverse cuisine, prepared by our talented Culinary Team. I have also noted down on your welcomed suggestion for further improvements on our services.
Please note that the guided snorkeling tour is organized daily, also several times, based on request. Of course life jackets are provided on the boats, upon request. In general safety and security comes always first at any excursions on the sea, therefore non-swimmers are not allowed.

The experience at the resort was all good till we had to check out. Found out that they had put us on a seaplane that was cutting it fine to catch our flight at Male airport. Stressed several times to reception that it’s too tight, seaplane was also delayed which meant for sure we were going to miss our flight. Again stressed this to the reception, instead we were told it’ll all be fine etc and the plane will waiting for us. So we got to the airport, no plane was waiting as expected, stranded at the airport so had to book for a night accommodation as well as new tickets for following day.
Contacted the resort for some form of compensation but instead was blaming it on us for providing incorrect departure flight (at no point did we fill in a departure flight when checking in). So I requested a copy of the check in form, incorrect flight details were forged (completely different handwriting) and they claimed i had written it. Absolutely disgusting behaviour by the resort!

Dear guest,
thank you for your review about your stay with us at Innahura Maldives Resort.
I am delighted that you have enjoyed our services and facilities during your holiday whilst staying at our resort.
While we truly understand your frustration about your missed flight and the absolute inconvenience of having to spend an additional night in Male and to purchase a new flight ticket I would like to set the facts right:
1) Your seaplane was scheduled at 4:15pm on that day, ample time to reach Male International Airport for your international flight in the evening.
2) As you mentioned: You have never informed the resort about your departure flight details although we have many times asked for in numerous emails (I have forwarded you those messages in our email conversations, on which you have replied that this is irrelevant...well, it is of course, obviously in order to reserve your seaplane accordingly.)
3) Severe weather conditions on that day forced the grounding of all seaplanes and the shutdown of the International Airport several times on that day (I have forwarded you those official information emails from the seaplane company in our e-mail exchanges). Therefore your seaplane flight was delayed on that day.
4) The resort management cannot be made responsible for reason of "Force Majeure" that according to International and Maldivian Aviation Laws and regulations do not allow seaplane operations for the safety and security of passengers and crew.
Interested readers can make their own conclusion, based on above statement, about your review.
We wish you always safe travels and happy holidays.
Best regards
