Nice location right on the beach with comfortable sun loungers and plenty of shade, if desired. my husband liked the fact that the pool was shaded too. Staff were friendly and helpful

This hotel's main advantage is it's location on the beach, which was clean. My room (superior) had a good view of the ocean, although the roof of the floor above extended quite a bit further out than the end of my room's balcony...which made it feel a bit suffocating. Air conditioning was always set to 18C but the room was never cooler than 25C (even at night, when it was cooler than this outside); wifi was good in my room; bed was comfortable; housekeeping were very friendly although the room wasn't particularly clean. Staff were generally friendly/helpful. The rooftop bar wasn't open at any point, even though the hotel was full. The restaurant advertises an a la carte dinner option, but would only provide the full buffet. Location is quite a ways from town/shops and you have to have security let you out to walk to the road, although there was a great restaurant nearby on the beach.

Great hotel but service is very pushy

The hotel setting was lovely! However the staff were very pushy and even tried to barter me on a price when checking in. We then were showed to our room 2 hour a later and the three men can onto the balcony with us and stayed expecting a tip. The WiFi doesn’t work in the rooms or by the beach and the only option in the evening is a buffet. The hotel itself is great but I feel the service is a bit too much. We also kept being disturbed in the room so eventually we put the sign on the door to stop people knocking.

Staff did not speak very good English or understand. The rooms were ok but only supplied a sheet and no extra bedding and the air conditioning was freezing.

Perfect choice by the beach

The location (Bentota, Induruwa) and Pandanus hotel is the best option for the beach accomodation if you are looking for a modern 4* medium size, well kept, reasonably priced hotel. Clean beach because it is 2-3 km from the town, so, only a few options to eat outside in a walking distance.

Nice hotel

The rooms were really good. Only drawback was that WiFi in the rooms are horrible. And so is network connection on my phone. I had taken etisalat and found it very difficult to get reception while in the room. The WiFi atleast should be strong in the rooms. This is the only drawback.

Great resort with great rooms

Fabulous resort and great rooms at great price. Their restaurant needed to improve and so should the room service. Housekeeper was very good and cheerful. Wifi is not available in rooms - only in public areas. TV is a disappointment with poor selection of channels which were not working too. A good entertainment system with a choice of movies would be ideal.
