Nice pool and ocean front views. The room was nice and had a large patio with cushioned seating. There are a few day beds on the beach and at the pool. The breakfast was good.

Awesome hotel ruined by poor hotel management
Posted 23 Nov 2015
Cons: Put drinks in fridge and don't turn power off in middle of the night especially when the temperature is 35 degrees celsius.
The hotel is right next to the beach and the rooms are beautiful each with private balconies or terraces and sea view just steps from the beach. At first we thought we were in Paradise.
How did they ruin it?
1) They turn the power off around 2AM so that you wake up sweating buckets since now your fan room becomes sauna room. This is despite them saying they only turn off the power between 10AM to 4PM.
2) They are the only restaurant on the beach which never had cold drinks. We wanted to stay and enjoy the ambience which was quite lovely. But warm beer, warm water, warm coke - no thanks.
3) Lazy, apathetic staff who did not care to fix any of the issues we mentioned. As a result we ended up spending most of our time at other hotel restaurants further down the beach.

Nice beach hotel away from it all.

Pros: Mostly pretty good, I would stay here again.
Cons: No hot water in the morning, as it is heated by solar (shower in the late afternoon). Room safe is unattached to anything (can be carried away).
Location: Reniala reserve is close by and well worth a visit. Local Malagasy are friendly, and I never felt unsafe wandering around.
I came to this hotel mainly in order to visit the nearby Reniala
nature reserve (baobabs). The drive to Ifaty from Tulear was over
a rough and rutted road. Best to travel this road by day. There
are few facilities at Ifaty. Specifically, I had no access to telephone,
television, newspapers, or Internet. Electricity from generator,
only solar-heated hot water. The room was pretty basic, but
comfortable enough. Staff was helpful and friendly. Reasonably
good beach. Good location. Restaurant and bar OK.
