Great views. Close to the beach. Across the jetty from the Cruise terminal. Good hotel. We would stay there again.

The Hotel Leonardo Hotel IJmuiden Seaport Beach was a bit out of the way unless you are leaving from the cruise port. That being said, the staff were all wonderful and accommodating, easy to work with and always with a smile. The waiters and the dining room Manager were friendly and easy to speak to. Everyone was very informed about the area and options available, unfortunately unless you rent a car, there were not many. We only stayed one night, before our cruise departure so we had a lovely relaxing night on the patio overlooking the boat harbor. Our rooms were clean, spacious and well stocked. The walls are thick enough, you cannot hear the neighbors and the included breakfast was wonderful and fresh. We would stay there again any time our cruise leaves from that port.

Great place but the beach
Posted 22 Jul 2024 on HotelsThis was a great stay with family. They had a big kiss playroom with games and toys when it was raining, they let us book a private family session in the sauna which was great and the breakfast was lovely. The staff were very friendly. Thank you!

Leonardo hotel is a typical seaside hotel. The lobby is nice and the staff friendly. The rooms are a bit tired and could be cleaner. My ice bucket was dirty and the floor was sandy, clearly not properly cleaned before our arrival. We also did not get daily housekeeping, which is ok, but should have been advised at booking, or from the front desk at checkin. Not much around the area, and no places to eat unless you take transportation to another area. I probably won’t stay here again.

We waited 4 hours to get our reserved suite. It turned out to be fairly shabby, though clean. And not facing the harbor, but rather, the road. I am certain the photos showed the harbor. The air conditioning doesn't work well. And the glass doors into the bedroom afforded no light protection or privacy. The staff varied between okay and accomodating. Breakfast was excellent. It is convenient to the cruise terminal.
