Check in starts at 3 pm. You arrived just before 2 pm and we allowed you to take your key then you flew out immediately. The following morning you had breakfast which was uneventful. Then you left for your three day trip to Port Lympne Safari Park. Not sure why you felt you were not made welcome but we did not get much time to see you.

The hotel closes at 9pm so you cannot get a drink when you get back from an event or a bar snack , eg crisps etc

Yes sadly this is how it is since Covid. Staff shortages mean that we have to restrict our opening times as our days can be very long, often starting with breakfast from 07:30 am, seven days a week.

We stayed here for one night. The pub is a proper old English pub. Nice garden to sit in even though it on the main road that runs through the village but it's not a problem as it seems very quiet. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Large selection of bear, larger and spirits. The food was reasonably priced and fresh. Room we stayed in had a 4 poster bed which was very comfortable as well as comfortable pillows. Some people will moan the decor is dated in the rooms and to a degree it is but it's clean and comfortable. I would say that in time this will be updated. The cost of living effects not just people but business as well. Front of house is what people see ie the pub which looks like it has not long been done so in time i am sure the rooms will be to. Only bad point is no milk in the morning for tea in the room as it had gone off. A small fridge in the room would solve the problem but not a big deal. If we are ever this way again i would stay here. And even recommend it to family and friends. Look forward to sticky toffee pudding if we go back.

Only needed a room for the night, so not a lot to say. Met needs just fine, quiet and clean. Room exactly as specified, and set up as requested. Woould use again.
