Peace and pleasure in the country
Posted 9 Apr 2020 on HotelsIt was hard to imagine a listing with a 10 rating but now we understand why. The cottage is wonderfully located. The beauty of the walks and streets is charming. The cottage is extremely private, well-equipped and smartly decorated.
It was a haven for us and we strongly recommend a stay!

Self contained & very quiet. Having 4 rooms is a lovely treat when you're traveling for a couple of months. Kitchen & bathroom great & the bed/pillows very comfortable.

Quiet. Best lodging on our trip. Real shower. Breakfast on your own was great with everything the owners supplied. Extremely comfortable suite. So nice you don’t even want to go out to see what you came here to visit and see in the first place. Do go to the Dutchess pub for dinner.

Only down side is that I wasn't staying there longer!

A lovely little find
Posted 26 Mar 2018 on HotelsWe loved our stay at this gorgeous cottage. It had everything we needed and really was a lovely home-from-home.
The cottage is spacious and full of character. The owner gave us a friendly, warm welcome when we arrived.
We couldn’t have asked for a tastier breakfast. The owner sends you a welcome email when you book and you get to choose your breakfast. The fresh produce is then there for you to prepare yourselves. We had delicious smoked salmon and scrambled eggs with English muffins. Tea, coffee, milk and orange juice all there for you too.
You can park your car right outside the cottage. It’s a 5 minute walk to the local pubs, The Duchess and King William.
Comfy bed with high quality linen. The toiletries were a great little luxury!
We would love to stay again if we’re coming back to the area.
