I made reservations with this property on Expedia, paid in full and was told that I would have a spicific room for my handicap! I called the Hotel directly spoke with the property management and was assured and comforted that I would have this room and it was blocked out for me! Arriving on the 11/12/24 at 3:00 pm I was told that that room was NOT available!! In making this reservation and checking availability in the Albuquerque area, rooms for 3 nights were not available or very slim!! The staff showed me another room, not the quaility of the Hilton Garden Inn or that did not suit my needs which was Unacceptable!! I was very frustrated and unhappy with the situation!! My Wife and I were setting at the reservation desk with, "No Room At The Inn"!!! I did every thing necessary to secure my reservation. This was NO FALT on our part!! Finding another room at this hour was at best the better part of the evening. This whole exercise ruined the start of our trip!!!! I look forward to your responce!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The front desk has way too much attitude. I held three rooms on my credit card for our group, but had not pre-paid the rooms. When we checked in, the front desk insisted that we had pre-paid rooms and would not check their records. Needless to say, someone figured out that the rooms were not pre-paid and, instead of charging each room to the card held for incidentals, all the room charges ended up on my card. My friends will pay me back, but I don't appreciate carrying an extra $1900 of charges on my card.

The restaurant closed early when we got there. There were poor choices—fried food only, so I got the Cobb salad. Too much dressing on it so the salad was soggy and gross for $18. Room microwave had a quarter-size hole in the door lining from a burn; also seen from the outside. Why would housekeeping not report this? Not able to use it, so went downstairs in my pajamas and no one at front desk could help me use the microwave down there because they were too busy. Why is there only one person at the front desk on Sunday pm?The security guards were trying to help me too because the front desk was so busy. No building maintenance is on staff or available at night to bring a new microwave. Why are there no instructions on the downstairs microwave?? This is absolutely unacceptable! This is a Hilton, right? Tried to use the room coffee maker in the morning. First added water but it ran everywhere because it was already full. Then I realized no one knows how to use the coffee maker because there are no instructions so the past customer left water in chamber. And housekeeping left water in the chamber. Why? I had to go downstairs again in my pajamas to get coffee. This is terrible customer service. No excuse for it. The only ones I want to give a shout- out to are the pm, nite, and am security guards. We watched them each go above and beyond to assist the customers.

The first room I was given smelled like the worst food odor on the planet. It also didn't have towels in the bathroom. The next room was cleaner but had no toilet paper.

The property was beautiful!! It had a nice vibe and atmosphere. Most of the staff was very friendly. I gave it four stars instead of five because I was unable to get sleep one night because my room was right next to the patio section. The patio section had a tv, waterfall, and music. The speaker was right next to my window and the manager on call that night (Jared) didn't know how to turn it off. I kept calling but it was never turned off and it seemed to have irritated him because a few times he didn't answer the phone. I even went downstairs at 4:00 in the morning and he said "I'm new I don't know how to turn it off. I will have the security guard turn it off," He was supposed to do that after my second call, needless to say it was still on the next day. I was very irritated. I did inform the morning staff of the problem and she apologized and added reward points to my Hilton Honors. Overall I had a great staff. I will definitely be back. After staying at this location, my thought was that The Hilton Garden Inn in Time Square New York needs to take note and update their location lol.

Really mixed - probably best for business travel
This hotel was OK but had issues. The first was simply finding a way to check in. There is no place to park while doing that, I ultimately wound up parking in the street. And the area is not good, which we discovered when trying to figure out how to get into the hotel to register (which really took some doing). The hotel has tons of security to reflect the location. For example, you needed your key to park in one of the gated areas (and they charge for parking beyond the room rates), you needed your key to get into the lobby, you needed your key again to get up the elevator, and then of course the key to get into your room. The room itself was extremely - extremely - spacious, a handicapped room as requested, but some - A$$hole decided to take a bit of the leg off the handicapped table. Which could have just been one of those things, not deliberate, until you found one of the legs had been taken off the transfer bench for the tub. And that some of the legs on the sectional where also wrapped and uneven. I think whoever did that hoped a handicapped person would fall and get injured. I don't blame the hotel for this, I think it was probably some jerk guest, but between these issues and the generally difficulty of just registering it was not a great stay. Not all negative, comfortable beds, and the staff was helpful and responsive.
