Glenn was absolutely fantastic, warm and made you feel like a million pounds.
Location is great, I recommend The Deep. The rooms were clean and quiet. Easy check in process and a real feel good factor about the place. I can’t fault it.

Owner can’t take constructive criticism

Walls weee wafer thin and you could hear other people snore in the private room
Owner doesn’t like constructive criticism as got a terse answer on another review site when I left a review.
Modern language has moved on beyond gender and so it would be good if the property owner learned the correct term for how to address non binary people as I did give instructions in my booking.
Most modern private rooms in hostels have a television which unfortunately this property does not and you have to use headphones on laptops and phones after 10 pm despite you being able to hear what everyone else is doing in other private rooms because of the thin walls .
Nice chimes from Hull minster day and night which are relaxing
Hostel is in the Old town area of Hull and can be noisy at night
Good value property but could do with a few tweaks to make it perfect

We are glad that for the most part your stay worked out well for you here at Hull Trinity Backpackers.We appreciate that the private rooms are somewhat of a compromise, and we have to rely on the ability of people to respect others privacy, which isn’t always the case.We do also look at constructive criticism, but on the subject of televisions in rooms have no plans to put them in, so if this is a dealbreaker for you we apologise. Budget hotels might be a better option in this respect….

Great stay, a last minute decision for a night in Hull.
We had our own room with en-suite & we couldn’t fault it.
Full use of kitchen on 2nd floor if needed.
Staff couldn’t be nicer.
Very convenient multi story car park opposite (cost us £9.50 to park overnight).
Would definitely go back again 👍

Fleas or something that bites!!!!!!!
Posted 6 Jun 2023 on HotelsSadly I had a terrible stay at this backpackers. Booked 2 nts, only stayed 1 nt, felt I was being attacked on bottom bunk bed, moved to upper bed near window, not as bad, felt something in hair and bitten!!!! Alarm bells were ringing, when I arrived and the gentleman went to make up my bunk and took the dog up too!!!! would not recommend. Stayed in Lincoln 1 nt £80, had to be done.

Wow! As owner of this little backpackers business, I can only apologise Lorna. In over 5 years since opening, we have never received such a review. I do wish you'd brought issues to the duty manager rather than quietly disappearing. And Lincoln's 50 miles away, perhaps you'd booked a little far away for your needs?I can assure you no dog ever enters the public bedrooms, nor prone to carrying biting insects either. I take it you're not a dog fan....
