Stayed a week in Cancun and took a road trip to see the Lagoon of 7 colors and cenote Azul. Becalar is 4 hours from Cancun so we drove early and found this hotel last minute for $40USD/night. The property is conveniently located to both places we wanted to go and feels like a true Oasis, with lots of areas to lounge and kayaks to rent for only $200pesos/day. The staff was very friendly and check in was a breeze. A big bonus for me was there was lots of cats and kittens to also welcome us! This is definitely a place to come with a good book to relax and reflect as there are no TV’s or electronics on the room. Bring your own toiletries, blow dryer, and water because only towels are provided. We paid only $3USD extra when booking for full breakfast, which doesn’t open until 9a but includes coffee, juice, and fresh made item off the menu. I’m not a big morning eater so I got eggs with chorizo and toast which was very light but perfect for me, and Roberto had the Chilaquiles which were excellent so I would def recommend ordering that. Bring bug spray because there were some mosquitos at night, it looks like the cats do a good job keeping most critters away but we did find a dead scorpion on the floor in the morning. I was freaked so I walked outside to watch the sunset and was immediately relaxed again. I felt very safe and comfortable and could see myself spending extended time here solo, would def recommend! Def go spend a day at lagoon of 7 colors.

La atención del personal excelente. El mantenimiento del lugar muy mal. La habitación Nahualistli sin clima, sin ventilación y con un fuerte olor a humedad y moho. La cocina muy buena ya que el Chef improvisa el menú. Lo mejor del hotel.

Las habitaciones estan publicadas sin aire acondicionado solo con ventilador y si tiene ventilación. Respecto al olor de humedad ene ese punto si agradezco su opinión tomaremos cartas en el asunto. El chef es el mejor de la región, no improvisa mas bien le gusta personalizarse con los huespedes. Agradecemos su opinión y trabajaremos en los aspectos mencionados.
