I really was not expecting much. We had booked it as a place to stay on our way back to Canada and wanted to be near Houlton. We were very pleased with everything. The room was great and the staff fantastic. I would highly recommend it as a place to stay. Loved the Irish Bar for dinner and the hot breakfast was a great surprise. Martin McSweeney Halifax NS.

Quiet Motel

This is the quietest motel I have ever stayed in. During our 3 nights, I heard one door close. One would have thought we were the only ones in the motel except they were full all 3 nights. So, if you want a quiet night's rest, this is the place. The rooms are large with a two beds with a table and chairs and a large bathroom. It has all the amenities - refrigerator, microwave, etc. It is located jut off I-95 and is near shopping and eating places.

peace and quiet after a long drive...

Pros: relatively inexpensive, yet very comfortable.
Cons: the 'continental breakfast' could have been better.
Location: right off the pike (I-95), close to shopping, restaurants, etc..
one of the quietest places i've ever stayed. very little extraneuous noises.

ok hotel, clean, pay attention to the other reviews...bring your own amenities as they have almost none. The hotel was clean, but the staff certainly did not display your typical northern Maine friendliness. Bottom line, I'd stay there again, if I had to, but would not expect any nicety from the hotel staff or any amenities.

The hotel looks older from the outside. I was glad that they have spent a lot of money updating the hotel. Staff was extremely nice. My only problem was my mattress was a little worn, with what felt like a large hole in it.
