Posted 18 Aug 2022 on HotelsOur room had the bare minimum , no wifi even though room was advertised with wifi , no amenities in the room apart from two small bottle of water . Mattress was so uncomfortable and tiny , even for two ladies . We couldn’t open the windows to get some fresh air and cool it ( there’s no fan or AC and weather was warm ) due to the mosquitoes on-site. There’s a pond near the house and apparently this is why there’s a lot of mosquitos. Even though the host is aware of that ,there was no intention to provide a net or a repellant .
Also , a huge fight broke with another guest at 11 pm and violence and shouting ended with someone breaking a door , which made me an my friend ( female travelers ) feel very disturbed and uncomfortable . At no point , when this subject was addressed at check out, the host took accountability. A brief apology message was sent the night before and that’s it. No good will gesture at any point.
Terrible handling of the situation , very basic and was a quite sleepless night . Not recommended .

Lovely, friendly hotel

My only issue wasn’t with the place itself but with the thin walls which meant I could hear the next room flush the toilet and their children having a meltdown. I know the hotel can’t help the way others manage their children but it did affect my stay.

Good place to pass through
Posted 15 Jun 2015 on HotelsIt was an average stay. We were just passing through, so we didn't put much effort into the stay. The people seemed nice. The walls in our room were paper-thin(we could hear a jovial Scot using the restroom in the room next to us). At night it seemed like an employee(??) was playing some oddly-timed DubStep music and it reverberated into our room until about 11pm. It didn't get dark until about 10:15 so it didn't matter too much.

The hotel environment was very nice, very friendly. The room was very basic and the bed uncomfortable. The bathroom very small. But the breakfast was good. The out door areas were beautiful and relaxing.

Posted 30 Aug 2014 on HotelsThe hotel was very nice and is just like the photos. The room was clean and the surrounding area was beautiful. Hotel was a little hard to find as it was in the rural area between la havre and caens.
Unfortuntley when we visited the attached resturant was closed due to no chef. So the nearest food outlet was at a bowling alley 5 minutes away.

Overnight stay
Posted 18 Aug 2014We were looking for a reasonable price overnight stay, on the way to Brittany. For two adults and two children at 95 euros this was a good price. Everything was clean , hot water, and staff pleasant etc just what you need for an overnight stay

Faded facilities

Paper-thin walls, cramped accommodation, no personal tea/coffee making facilities, restaurant closed.

Nice place to stay. Room was very basic but clean.

Pros: The surroundings, eg. garden.
Cons: The bed could a bit more comfortable.
Location: Don't know as only stayed one night.
It was a bit out of the way so not suitable for anyone without a car. Not close to the local town.
Surroundings eg garden etc. are pleasant.
Restaurant had good food but a bit on the expensive side for what it was.
Rooms are not very roomy and are very basic but I guess not too bad for the price.
