This resort is so close to everything and safe I felt good with family and I think if I go alone would be safe to go.

This is a time share prooerty. One third of property is shut down for renovation. My room was above the lobby and reception desk. Noisy until late. Business started again at six in the morning. Viewxwas of the front of the hotel property and reception. Dining is limited. Shusi, Italian, Mexican or Continental. Wings, a hamburger sports bar no longer exists. Not enough pool space for number of guests. Seating is constantly being saved despite signs to the contrary. Watched adults drinking in the pool and then rinsing out their glasses in the pool water Disgusting! The maid service takes dirty towels out of your room on a daily basis, but and only twice during my eight day stay did I have full towels. On my first day here, after taking my credit card for expenses, I was told I had no money for meals and incidentals on the books. I had to interrupt my meal and return to the front desk to straighten this out. At one time, i considered this resort the place to stay in Puerto Vallarta. My opinion has changed.

The good: Staff were great, grounds and pools were nice, beach was very nice. The rooms were clean on the surface, very dated but overall in good repair.
The bad:
After twelve hours of travelling we were greeted by the “concierge”: a high pressure time share salesman employed by the hotel.
Two days into our stay we had to request a new room, as there was an overpowering mold smell in our room. Not visibly moldy but one wonders what is hiding behind the vents in the hvac system…it was giving us headaches and flu like symptoms which cleared up once we were out of the room for awhile.
Staff were able to accommodate the switch and the new room was much better, just a faint smell by the door.
The restaurants are very expensive.
The hotel staff definitely cater to the all inclusive guests first and foremost.
Vendors on the beach are non stop, literally every five minutes all day long. The hotel doesn’t seem to do anything to discourage them, and in fact we started to wonder if the hotel was getting a cut…
Speaking of cuts: my husband cut his foot (if it hadn’t been on his very callused heel it would have needed stitches) on the very sharp metal on the legs of the patio furniture on our balcony. Accidents happen, but apparently the hotel does not have a first aid kit, as we couldn’t seem to get a band aid.

Great place to stay. Staff not that attentive to people of color, but food and drinks are great when you finally get served.
