Peace full centrally located close to monuments
Posted 3 Jul 2017
Pros: Nice ambience away from hustle and bustle of city yet centrally located and close to tourist spots. All monuments at stone throwing distance.
Cons: Room service, fridge and coffee bar in the room can add value to the service.
Location: Great place to stay and explore monuments and lost in bygone era.
Nice place for sightseeing trip with family. Good for relaxed and leisurely trip.

Good hotel to stay
Posted 27 May 2017
Pros: It's location, ambience , neatness and good maintenance.
Cons: Staff of restaurant can improve in one aspect ie. area " Serving with Smile "
Location: Quite good Number of places of historical importance, temples, gardens etc. A three days stay is a comfortable one to cover all leisurely.
We stayed for two and half days and it was a pleasant one. Rooms are spacious and good. Food is tasty and we enjoyed it. Staff are nice and courteous. Particularly the lady staff of tourism section was very helpful and she guided us for our local visits. And in fact she finalised our itenarary. It was so good , we totally enjoyed.
This was our second experience with KSTDC Hotels and they proved well organized and meeting travellers expectations.
Surely recommend to stay in this hotel.

AIHOLE ,PATTADAKKAL, BADAMI AND HAMPI ARE THE DIFFERENT LEVEL SCHOOLS OF ARCHITECTURE OF OUR GLORIOUS CIVILIZATION FROM 500 AD TO 1530 AD WHEN THEY WERE DESTROYED BY THE PERPETRATORS SUBSEQUENT TO THE BATTLE OF RAKSHASTAGDI.
ALL THE STUDENTS OF ARCHITECTURE SHOULD GO HERE THAN ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE WORLD.
HAMPI IS A PARADISE FOR BIRDWATCHERS AS WELL.
MAYURA BHUVANESHWARI IS THE PERFECT PLACE OF STAY FOR SUCH EXPEDITIONS

Bog standard hotel
Posted 26 Feb 2017After reading other reviews about the 'superb location', I'm slightly baffled as to why these previous guests thought so. The hotel is situated 4km away from Hampi's main town - costing 150 rupees for a rickshaw every time we wanted to go anywhere.
We booked a king size bed (suitable for 3 people according to the booking website) however on arrival we were told they do not even have king size beds and proceeded to push two single beds together and dumped a mattress on the floor for the third person. No hot water, no wifi in the room, only 1 plug socket and the 'free breakfast' wasn't worth looking at.
The hotel is fairly clean and basic, was fine for a couple nights stay. Just irritating when somewhere claims to be something it's not.

Nice Hotel near main attraction of Humpi.
Posted 31 Jan 2017
Pros: Location of this hotel is just very near to Humpi's all main attractions.
Cons: There are many things which can be improved like
- Hotel stuff need to understand that it's a hospitality industry not Govt office to be rude on guest
Overall good property and maintained well. Hotel service are quite bad and typical Govt organisation attitude of the Hotel stuff. Food was tasty but expensive if one consider the quantity of the food. There were no option and choice of tasting local cuisine (North Karnataka), which is very traditional and different from rest of India.Property can be maintained more nicely.

Convenient, clean hotel. Good decent restaurant.
Posted 26 Jan 2017 on HotelsGood property. Good location. Very helpful and friendly staff. The only negative being the hotel refused to give rooms at rate agreed on hotels.com. instead they charged their regular, non discounted rack rates only.

Good Price & Location.Service & Cleanliness is Bad
Posted 3 Jan 2017 on HotelsHuge Property and the lawns and parking are maintained well. But I wish they had done the same maintenance and care to the rooms. Such a potential place but rooms are very small, broken and slightly worn of doors. However bathrooms were clean and hot water was available.
We had to wait for almost an hour at reception and call our customer service to get our rooms. though it was booked they denied us our second room stating silly reasons. Reception attitude and service needs to improve big time!
If you are looking at a place to just crash in the night and wanna see Hampi ruins and monuments then this is an ideal place at the price. Its very close to the Hampi Unesco heritage monuments. But its not a place to stay and spend time.
