No heating in my room, heaters didn't work. No phone to contact reception. No mirror in the bathroom.
English breakfast, although seemingly cooked nicely, bacon and sausage were dry and tough by the time they reached the table. Disappointing that tinned tomatoes were served.Good selection of cereal, fruit and juice.
This was an adequate but slightly disappointing stop over.

We enjoyed our stay at the Basingstoke Country Hotel.
Accommodation very spacious and lovely and warm.
Staff extremely welcoming and accommodating.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Before arriving at 8,45pm on a Sunday I rang the hotel to check if food was available. I was assured it was if I ordered before 9pm. When I arrived well before 9pm I was told the kitchen had closed. The person on the front desk told me was hungry too, which didnt help at all. He could rang me or messaged me to let me know there was no food but he did not.
Otherwise the hotel is average and a relic from an earlier decade, the rooms are ok and clean and cheap which which is a consideration - I recommend not having the breakfast though :(

Nice comfortable bed food was very delicious
Heater in my room was not working properly and it was offered a next room so that was good
Overall stay was very nice
