Family run homestay recommended
Posted 4 Dec 2019 on HotelsFamily run homestay. Family was very gracious. Rooms could use some updating but for the budget-conscious, it’s a great pick. A bit of a distance from all the action, which for us was a plus. Built into the side of a limestone karst, so setting is beautiful. Within about a five-minute walk is Bich Dong (or Dang?) Pagoda which was one of our favorites that we saw while on Vietnam (and we saw many!)

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We had an issue with the air con not working and they switched us quickly with no issue. Staff was very helpful.

This is not a bad hotel, but it is purely for no frills backpacking. Rooms are dirty and humid. The price does not reflect the condition of the hotel. Would not recommend this hotel at all, there's much better for the same price.

Such a great experience. It felt like we were staying with family. Motorbikes available to rent right at hotel made exploring the area fun and easy.

A big heart in a gem of a village
Posted 27 Jan 2019 on HotelsI stayed at An'na Tham for 3 days as part of a tour of Vietnam. The hotel is simple, clean and adorable. It sits in the tiny village of Bich Dong, just outside of Tam Coc. The view from my balcony, breathtaking and Tham and her husband were lovely: really warm and friendly and when I had to get up at 6 for an early morning trip, Tham cooked me an omelette baguette.
I spent 2 of the days exploring: first the Mua caves, around 7km away by bike then Bird valley, around 5km in the other direction, through beautiful rice fields - and just next to the hotel were two cave temples - the whole experience was astonishing - just be prepared to do a fair bit of climbing steps.
If you are looking for a luxury tour then join the other drones who get ferried to the sites in air conditioned buses and whisked around by the tour guides, if you want to experience the beauty and warmth of this amazing country directly, stay at places like An'Na Tham hotel, hire a bike, seek out simple food and get exploring.

Good location away from the noise and bus tours, walking distance to local attractions . Comfortable room and good breakfast. The nicest thing about this hotel is the host and her family, so pleasant and helpful it made our stay memorable. Highly recommended.
