We were in need of urgent accommodation as the Shinkansen was suspended due to rain so we quickly booked one night at the Smile Hotel Hiroshima. I am so glad we did! Beautiful and large room with a lovely bathroom. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful and even rung our accommodation to inform them that we would be a day late. Totally took the stress out of the situation! I just wish we’d stayed at Smile Hotels throughout Japan as we now know how good they are! Area is very quiet but is so close to a shopping precinct and heaps of food options!

Excellent Hotel. Very basic but good sized room in a good position. Had everything we needed and lots of food and shops around the hotel. Lots of travellers. Staff very friendly
