An expensive one night stay. We missed the sunset.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The facility, although dated, was very clean. The public bath was also very clean and they provide all amenities needed. I would suggest you order the half board, as there is not much open after 6:00pm. There is a convenience store in the lobby of the hotel.
The MorinoYado Inn is located across the street from the aquarium, which is about a 15-20 minute walk from the ferry terminal. It’s a lovely seaside walk.

The ryokan and the facilities for public bath are nice. It is rather far from the main area of Miyajima. It is located by the aquarium, past the shopping street and shrine. About at 25 min walk from the ferry. You may be able to call the hotel to request a shuttle from the ferry. We were able to drop off our luggage and explore the island.
When we had our kaiseki dinner and breakfast, the staff is very attentive. You need to call 3 days ahead to ask for all vegetarian menu. I messaged the property through the Expedia app, but they didn’t respond. There were mixed messages of wearing the yukata at dinner. We weren’t sure if we needed to. We asked the front desk and they said to wear it. When we went to dinner, we were the only ones wearing it. Another thing we did not care for is to set out your own futon bedding. The other ryokans we stay at have the staff setting out the bedding for us.
It was very convenient to have a shuttle to the ferry, since it is on the other side of the area. The driver was so nice, trying to get us to the port before the next ferry left.
Overall, a very nice hotel with modern conveniences like a refrigerator in the room, separate shower, toilet and sinks.

They hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had the traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast which was a wonderful experience for our family. They kept our luggage as we explored the island after check out.
Wonderful experience would definitely stay here again.

Dinner and breakfast are kaiseki style and include local delicacy. Very delicious and well worth the cost.

Amazing Service at a Traditional Hotel
Posted 8 Jul 2023 on HotelsThe service at this hotel was beyond excellent. They did a great job of accommodating our dietary needs even though we did not think to write ahead (if you have restrictions you should). During check out, we forgot to pack our daughters journal, they called the driver that took us to the ferry and sent an extra shuttle to the ferry terminal to deliver it a few minutes later. The baths are large, fantastic and not particularly busy when we used them.

Great Ryokan for a decent price
Posted 17 May 2023 on HotelsWe arrived a bit early with all our luggage (coin lockers unavailable due to G7 summit). They prepped our room as soon as possible so we could check in earlier. Hotel staff is very kind and polite. Meals are great as well. The room is a bit outdated but very clean.
Would recommend this Ryokan very much.

Everything was perfect since the moment I checked-in. Dinner and breakfast was delicious, I also enjoyed the beautiful mountain and sea view from my room.
