The location is fantastic for visiting Himeji Castle and close to ships and restaurants. Your able to drop off luggage before checking. The staff was very friendly and the communal space is small but cozy.

Close to Himeji Castle

Pros: Good location and reasonably priced
Cons: Bed linens and common areas could use a good cleaning
Location: Himeji Castle is the star of the show here.
Great for a short stay to visit Himeji Castle. It’s close to the castle which opens at 9:00 so you can sleep in a bit and still get to the castle for 9:00 when it opens if you want to avoid the crowds.

Pros: Good location
Location: Located at the end of the main shopping street and near Himeji Castle.
Friendly staff. Casual and simple guesthouse with all the basic amenities you need.

Pros: Good, quiet.
Cons: At least, you can post a notice that the guest must arrive after 4 pm, nothing earlier.
Location: railroad station and the Himejji Castle.
When I arrived in a raining day, I was lucky to have the cash to pay the hotel. Now, the hotel indicated
that there was no contract with Travelocity; therefore I had to pay 5,400 Yen for my two days stay. I thought that I had paid $14 a day plus tax and fee through my reservation with Travelocity credit card.
Please check on this matter.
I did receive a similar notice from a hostel in Kanazawa; however, when I arrived that they did not
ask me for that cash. I guess that the credit card payment goes through.
