The lodge is well located in the Hillcrest area, close to the Main Road with it's shops and restaurants. Bev the hostess was very welcoming and seemed prepared to go out of her way to assist her guests. The breakfast in the morning was varied and good. The room, while on the small side, was adequately furnished with a comfortable bed.
There were a number of small items which detracted from my stay. Single ply toilet rolls in the bathroom, a small and well worn towel and shower in which the water temperature fluctuated quite often being the main issues.
Overall the welcome and friendly nature of the hostess made it easy to overlook the negatives.

Morning David we enjoyed hosting you and look forward to seeing you again. We have septic tanks and two ply toilet paper blocks the tanks, hence we supply single ply. Some of our rooms are on gas I am sorry that the water temp fluctuated and I will adress that. I will attend to the towels. Enjoy the rest of the working week and have a great weekend. Bev

Breakfast was not available til 7:30.

Morning I unfortunately don't know who you are as your comment is from Anonymous. Our standard breakfast times are from 7am but if a guest requires breakfast earlier than that and we are made aware we are very willing to oblige. I am sorry that we could not provide breakfast earlier on your stay, but shoud you stay with us again we will provide breakfast at a reasonable time that suits you.
