This was a 'unique' experience for my German guest.
She was very impressed by the 'old english' atmosphere which the property always instills... even on me, an Englishman. A delight.

It was a great experience to stay in a real castle. The castle , the bedroom, the staff, the breakfast, the dinner and the TOUR was great.
Expensive but worth every penny.

Interesting place. You're more than likely not staying in the actual Castle. Rather, in building a short walk down a hill. We stayed in the middle of the week, so no weddings in the way. Our room had an amazing bathroom. The Staff wasn't rude, but also wasn't very nice. The restaurant was expensive and limited choices, but it was nice to have breakfast each morning. It was nice to have a stay in the country. So quite and calm.
